Sony to Release The Lightest ANC Earbuds, the LinkBuds S

source: WinFuture

Sony is improving its wireless headphones range from one iteration to the next. While the WH-1000XM5 remain some of the best on the market, the LinkBuds S is about to become the lightest yet.

The LinkBuds S, according to WinFuture, are next in line from Sony. The successor of LinkBuds, they’re meant to be the smallest and lightest ANC buds around.

At 4.8grams, they should be much lighter than their main competitors such as AirPods Pro, Beats Studio Buds, Galaxy Buds Live. Yes, the LinkBuds are a bit lighter, but they do lack active noise cancellation.

If the idea of almost invisible, weightless buds sounds good to you, then you should know LinkBuds S are expected to come with hi-res audio and 5mm drivers.

The pair could last you up to 20 hours of listening with the charging case or up to 6, without.

As far as features are concerned, the buds should be able to automatically pause audio the minute the user starts talking (Sony’s fancy speak-to-chat mode) as well as switch from ambient sound to noise cancellation when needed.

When they hit the market, if you’re looking for a pair of new earbuds, prepare to shell out around €199 (about $209.85) for one of three options: black, white or beige.
