Alexa Skill Blueprints is a new Amazon tool that lets you create custom Alexa skills. Through the help of fill-in-the-blank style templates, Alexa can learn new skills.

There are 21 different Blueprints at your disposal. These can be divided in four categories, starting with Home, Fun & Games, Storyteller, and Learning & Knowledge.

With these Blueprints, you can, for example, create a list of your favorite jokes Alexa can cheer you up with, design a trivia game on a topic of your choice, imagine a fairy tale for your kids to listen to, compile a list for a babysitter, or write an interactive sci-fi story. No matter what you choose to create, Amazon has made it easy to program and deploy.

Alexa Skill Blueprints is currently exclusive to US users and limited to Echo devices featured on their Amazon account.
