I think by this point we can all appreciate what Xiaomi has been offering the users so far: their phones are not only affordable by also quite powerful.
Xiaomi has also been making efforts to update their devices to Android Pie – the Xiaomi Mi A2 was released back in July with Android 8.1 Oreo but a while ago, a beta build of Android 9 Pie was made available too.
It seems like the build did not cause any issues because the update has begun to roll out to a number of Mi A2 smartphones; an XDA Developers Junior Member shared screenshots of the Android Pie update on their own device and, according to them, the system also comes with the November security patch.
We don’t have any information about what regions the update is currently rolling out in or even how widespread it is but if you do own a Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, you can see if the update is available for you by accessing the About Phone category that you can find in your Settings.
If not, then you’ll have to be patient until it eventually becomes available for everyone but we’re sure it won’t take very long.
