Motorola had a pretty busy year so far, releasing both mid-range and high-end smartphones, and it seems like it’s at it again. The Lenovo-owned company recently sent out a cryptic invitation with the time and date for an event, for which it didn’t give any details.
2020.07.07 3 pm CET is when a great unveil will take place, and it probably won’t be a live gathering, as because of the global health situation these have now moved online. The event will most likely be about the new Motorola Edge Lite. The company recently certified the XT2075-3 model number with the FCC, which is believed to be the Moto Edge Lite.
This latest certification tells us the new device will come with a 4,700 mAh battery and 5G connectivity. Speculations say the Edge Lite will be powered by a Snapdragon 765G chipset and get 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Edge Lite is set to run on Android 10 and pack a 6.7″ 90Hz FullHD+ screen with an aspect ratio of 21:9, but this won’t be a waterfall display.
The new smartphone will have an 8MP selfie camera with a 2MP depth sensor and on the back, it will have a 48MP primary camera completed by 16MP, 8MP and 5MP modules, which purpose has yet to be detailed.
Motorola has been working hard in 2020 to get back into the smartphone market. The company recently made two budget-friendly Moto G Phones available for pre-order, has now unveiled the Moto G Pro in Europe, and is getting ready to release the Moto G Fast in the US.
