Xiaomi, One of the 50 Most Innovative Companies In the World

Great news for Xiaomi, as the company Xiaomi has reached the TOP 50 of the most innovative companies in the world as the 24th company that innovates the most today, marking the 3rd time that Xiaomi appears in the BCG top. In 2014 and 2016, the company was reaching the 35th position as one of the most innovative companies at the time.

“This result is in line with our mission to make state-of-the-art technology accessible to all people so that they can enjoy a better life through technological innovations. It is a widely recognized effort by MI fans and our users in more than 90 markets around the world where we are present, ”said Shou Zi Chew, International President, Xiaomi

The company has been constantly making progress, especially in the smartphones section, while constantly increased its investment in research and development (R&D), reaching 7.5 billion RMB in the last year, about 30% more than the previous year. Moreover, the company is expecting even more growth, as in 2020, the investment would increase to 10 billion RMB. 

As you can see, Xiaom has managed to surpass companies such as Airbus, Volkswagen or Bayer in the BCG top, along with big players like Apple, Alphabet (Google) or Tesla.

In May 2020, Xiaomi reached the Forbes Global 2000 top on to the 384th position.
