According to Bloomberg, Apple employees received a memo yesterday announcing a virtual meeting will be held by CEO Tim Cook. The Apple boss will answer questions about the global pandemic and how it affects the company.
The company-wide note is asking workers to send their questions to Tim Cook by Saturday, April 11th. Employees are also encouraged to share their working experiences during the coronavirus situation.
Apple’s retail stores around the world remain closed, except for China.
Since the global health crisis began, Tim Cook has been vocal about Apple’s support towards its customers and employees. In March and April, Apple Card users were permitted to skip payments without occurring interest. In previous months, Apple CEO praised China for its “admirable spirit and resilience.” He also donated around RMB 20 million, to support six hospitals in the province of Hubei.Cook also tweeted about Apple’s donation of 10 million masks for the US and “millions more” for the most affected regions in Europe.
Apple likely has more ideas and plans for easing the struggles of both its customers and people directly fighting the virus pandemic. The company has been greatly involved and has been prompt in responding to the crisis since the beginning.
The date for Apple’s virtual meeting hasn’t been set yet, but it’s expected to take place sometime next week.
