I don’t know about you, but we can’t wait for January! Especially since we heard DJI is getting serious competition around CES. We’re talking about a record-breaking, 8K drone that will go head to head with DJI Mavic 2 Pro, Zoom and Enterprise: Autel Evo 2.
If you haven’t heard about them before, you should know this: Autel is all about disruption. The first EVO was a shocker, because it recorded in 4K at 60 fps – something the Mavic 2 Pro still can’t do. At 400 dollars less than DJI’s drone!
And the EVO 2 could destroy DJI for good. The rumored specs are just out of this world and it will definitely sell for less than the M2 Pro.
From what we’ve heard, EVO 2 will show up at CES with not 1, not 2, but 3 interchangeable modules! Let that sink in.
Why 3? Well, one will shoot in 8K at 25fps or 6K at 30fps and of course 4K at up to 60fps. This one will get you 48MP stills. The second gimbal has 1-inch sensor and adjustable lens that can shoot up to 6K at 60fps or 4K at 120 fps, which is so much more than the Mavic 2 Pro can do. As for photos, you’ll count on 20MP ones.
Ok, ok, so how can the third one top that craziness? By doubling it. Autel knows as well as we do that besides photography, drones are used a lot – and successfully – in search and rescue missions and industrial fields. So, the third one mixes the 8K sensor with an infrared one.
Guys, can you see what’s happening here? Every module turns this one drone, the Evo 2, in a rival for three separate DJI ones. But a drone is more than lenses and stabilization.
How is EVO 2 handling obstacles, speed, flight time? See in the latest Need to Kno episode above!
