Casio revealed its third-generation smartwatch during IFA: the Pro Trek Smart WSD-F30, which is the successor of the WSD-F20, which launched last year.
The watch has the MIL-STD-810G compliance for durability and also 50m water resistance. It comes with a 1.2 inch dual layer display that has a 390×390 OLED panel alongside a monochrome LCD on top.
The display shows the time, atmospheric pressure or altitude, as well as a compass bearing.
It can also be switched to Multi Timepiece Mode in which the time data will be shown in monochrome while the color display and the smartphone communication will be turned off in order to maximise battery life, which is more or less, up to one month. During normal use, you can expect 1.5 days out of it.
If you choose to use Extend Mode, which enables the offline use of color maps and GPS, alongside time and measurement data shown on the monochrome display continuously, you can expect around three days on a single charge.
The watch will come in black, blue and orange color variants and will be available for purchase with a price tag of around $549, sometime in January 2019.
