DJI joined forces with the Japanese chat app Line for what the company has described as its “first characterized drone”.

For those of you who are not familiar with Line, the chat app is only popular in Japan, Taiwan and a handful of other Asian regions but the characters that the app has presented in stickers and emoji have managed to have a separate business for themselves – the Line Friends merchandise is sold in 108 countries so far, with one store in New York Times Square as well.

The drone in question has the face of Brown pasted on it, the bear that is one of the most popular Line Friends character. DJI plans to add Pangyo the panda, Jessica the cat and other Line characters to their drone line in the future as well.

The drone is a version of the portable Spark and it comes with a battery, three pairs of propellers, a remote control, USB charger and two RC cables, all for the price of $399.

DJI will sell it at its stores and online in North America, China, Hong Kong and Korea.
