The Awake Rävik is an electric carbon surfboard from Swedish company Awake Boards that promises to get you a nice surfing session even if there are no waves around.

The board is powered by a drivetrain developed by the company, called Awake Direct drive, which is capable of hitting speeds of up to 30 knots (35 mph), regardless if you are riding the waves or gliding across a lake. It can accelerate to 31mph in just 4 seconds and it is steered by simply shifting your body weight.
The Awake Rävik has built-in batteries that charge in about 80 minutes and offer a 40 minute ride on a full charge, which should be more than enough for a good, satisfying surf session.
The board can be ordered for the price of $24,600, which basically counts most of us out of a buy but if you have some cash to spare, the company will manufacture a limited number later this year.
