If there was one feature missing from Spotify, then that was lyric search.
Apple Music had it, and now the other music streaming giant has it too.
With Spotify Lyric Search you can finally play that unknown song stuck in your head, without having to fire up Google to do a search first.
The news comes from one of Spotify’s engineers, who proudly (and rightfully so!) posted the update on Twitter.
Hopefully, she was looking for a happier tune than Placebo’s Running Up That Hill!
To find a song, you just have to type in the lyrics you remember and Spotify will show you a list of songs with a “lyrics match” label so you can quickly play it.
Spotify also launched a new Twitter account to help you discover some hot new tracks.
If you want to access the top music charts, follow the new @SpotifyCharts Twitter account and you’ll see the weekly hits, both in the US and globally.
