During the same event it revealed the Redmi Note 11 series with its brand new design, Xiaomi also announced MIUI 13 and what to expect from the latest MIUI update.
MIUI 13 will come pre-installed on both the Redmi Note 11 series and the upcoming Xiaomi 12 phones that launched in China and will soon have a global release.
The latest software update has 4 main areas of focus: Liquid Storage, Atomized Memory, Focused Algorithms, and Smart Balance, all designed to optimize performance.
Thanks to Liquid Storage, a technology that reduces fragmentations in stored data, Xiaomi managed to improve defragmentation efficiency by up to 60 percent.
With Atomized Memory, Xiaomi introduces new RAM optimizations so that inactive background processes are stopped to help with multitasking performance. Smart Balance improves the balance between performance and power consumption, with Xiaomi saying you can expect an overall battery life improvement of up to 10 percent in this update.
With all new models shipping with MIUI 13, Xiaomi plans to deploy the upgrade to phones currently on the market as well.
