The images published by TENAA reveal what might prove to be the two variants of the upcoming Honor Play 8 smartphone, under the names JAT-AL00 and JAT-TL00.
The device hosts its volume keys and power button on the right side and has a 3.5mm audio jack on the top.
It has a 6.08 inch display with a 720 x 1560 HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The device will have an octa-core processor clocked at up to 2.3GHz and will come with 3GB of RAM but 32GB and 64GB variants are also expected.
As far as the camera goes, the Honor Play 8 will have a 13MP camera on the back while the selfie snapper with be an 8MP. It will have a 2920mAh battery, smaller than the 3020mAh we’ve seen on the Honor Play 7.
It will run Android 9 Pie out of the box via Honor’s EMUI 9.0 custom user interface nicely layered on top. We also know that the Honor 8 Play is certified to support the Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy Standard.
The TENAA listing also does not mention a fingerprint sensor so we can expect the handset to come with facial recognition instead.
