Horizon Call of the Mountain Brings PlayStation Franchise to VR!

The Horizon Zero Dawn universe is not only getting ready to make its way to next-generation consoles with Horizon Forbidden West, but it is also heading towards the next-generation PlayStation VR console!

Announced recently on PlayStation.Blog, Horizon Call of the Mountain will be a VR experience set in the world of Horizon Zero Dawn. It will be a completely brand new adventure combining the advanced technology of the next-generation VR system, the PlayStation VR2, with the world fans have become familiar with since dropping in on Aloy’s adventure. As for the world itself, familiar faces and enemies will appear.

Besides a title drop and a teaser trailer, not much about the game has been released. It is unclear who the main protagonist is – although it is not Aloy, a character who you will be able to meet in game – nor when or where this is set respective to the rest of the games in the franchise.

Regardless, it is exciting to see a new entry into the series as well as serious dedication by the PlayStation Studios teams to bring (expected) high-quality experiences to the new PlayStation VR system.
