One of the most requested features ever, the ability to edit WhatsApp messages, is now finally live.
Facebook announced you can now edit your WhatsApp messages, a godsend for people who can’t handle doing typos.
How to edit WhatsApp messages?
Simply long press the message you sent until the menu appears, then select the Edit option.
You can edit any sent WhatsApp message for up to 15 minutes after you tapped Send, which means you have plenty of time to correct yourself.
Just like in Facebook Messenger chats, the person you’re messaging can see that the message you sent was edited but they can’t see what was previously sent, since there’s no edit history.
In the official announcement, Facebook underlined that, “as with all personal messages, media and calls, your messages and the edits you make are protected by end-to-end encryption.”
