Huawei could give the biggest players in the mobile market a run for their money in less than in a month. Rumor is the Chinese manufacturer is developing smartphones that are equipped with not one, not two, but three main cameras #mobilemagic
The company is refraining to show lucky cards at Mobile World Congress this year, preferring to keep media and consumers on the edges of their seat until a launch event in Paris, on March 23. In a bit over 30 days, Samsung Galaxy S9 could face its biggest rival in the form of a flagship phone with three rear cameras, P20.
The possibility was partly confirmed by an official invite from the company consisting in an image with three circles overlapping the famous French symbol, Eiffer Tower. Plus, there’s also a short text teasing that the audience will get to “see mooore with AI.” That’s pretty revealing, if you ask us. We can also speculate that Leica will be once more spearheading the camera efforts, maybe even including this time a 5x hybrid zoom.
That would definitely pick up prosumers’ interest, since even the best and most recent flagships haven’t offered anything more than the standard 2x optical zoom. When it comes to design, though, we have even less information .
That said, the P20 Lite variant that reached FCC showed an iPhone X-like notch. It’s definitely unexpected but would accommodate just two main cameras.
Stay tuned for more info as weeks pass and Huawei reveals more features about the upcoming phones!
