Huawei’s Honor smartphone line is known for being a highly functioning, low-cost alternative to pricier smartphones like Samsung’s Galaxy phones and Apple’s iPhones. It appears as if a new addition to the Honor series will be coming out soon as the Chinese multinational and telecommunications company sent media invites for the launch date of its new Honor 10. With an April 19th launch date, the Honor 10 promises to bring high-end tech at an affordable price. #mobilemagic
The Honor 10 has been teased in various promos this week. It’s been heavily suggested that it will carry on the colorways that made the Huawei P20 so popular. In all likelihood, the Honor 10 will hit the market with the Twilight shade, P20’s signature color. Given its April 19th launch date, it may have some competition as Motorola’s Moto G6 line is expected to be release that day as well.
It is rumored that the Honor 10 will be powered by the Kirin 970 chip and sell in two models. The standard version will feature 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage while the “Plus” version will sport 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Additionally, it is rumored that there will be some artificial intelligence (AI) component to a dual camera module. It is currently unclear how or what features of the camera will take advantage of the AI technology.
Considering that the P20 had a notch, we expect the Honor 10 will too.
