Huawei couldn’t announce the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro without a host of accessories like two new wireless earbuds.
Most notable of the two are the Huawei Freebuds Lite, which are basically Huawei’s response to the Apple AirPods 2.
With a true wireless design, these buds promise up to 12 hours of battery life (although Huawei didn’t state if that’s true for continuous music playback). What’s notable about these wireless earbuds is the IPX4 rating, which means they’ll be able to handle some water splashes or sweat at the gym.
With a price tag of €119, which converts to around $135, they’ll probably prove to be an essential P30 accessory.
However, serious gym-goers and active people will probably go for the new Huawei FreeLace earbuds and their 9.2mm titanium-plated drivers.
They’re made of memory metal, just like premium eyeglasses, and covered in liquid silicone for a soft feel.
Coming with a USB-C port for charging, they promise up to four hours of music on a five-minute charge and a whopping 18 hours of continuous playback on a full charge.
The FreeLace Huawei earbuds will be available in black, green, silver and “Amber Sunrise,” the latter being a color available for the Huawei P30 smartphones. The FreeLace will launch April 11th and will cost €99 (around $110).
