Kingston started off the year with the HyperX Cloud Flight S headset with wireless charging, a premium pair of headphones with a price tag to match: $160.
Now, with things as they are, the market for luxury headphones doesn’t seem like a big one, so Kingston introduced two new HyperX gaming headsets for the budget-conscious.
The HyperX Stinger Core retails for $60 and the HyperX Stinger Core Wireless goes for $80 but both of them have virtual 7.1 surround sound.
All you have to do is download the free HyperX NGENUITY software from the company’s website and enjoy.
Both HyperX Stinger Core models have the same set of basic features for a gaming headset: built-in swivel microphones, 40 mm drivers, and a weight of about 250 grams.
Of course, connectivity differs.
The HyperX Stinger Core has an 8-foot cable with a 3.5 mm jack, while the HyperX Stinger Core Wireless uses a 2.4Ghz to connect to your PC.
HyperX says a single charge gets you 17 hours of battery life and the wireless range is 65 feet.
Also, this model will also have Xbox and Playstation versions with colors to match your console of choice.
Both devices are available today on the HyperX store.
