After LG’s fresh breath of air at MWC, with its modular G5, we’ve been anxiously waiting to see what the manufacturer has in store for this fall. After some peeks and whispers, we suspected that a V20 is in the works. Finally, the company confirmed some of the rumors for us #mobilemagic
Indeed, the name of the next flagship from LG is V20. It’s going to be one of the first smartphones to boast Android Nougat since it will launch somewhere at the end of September. So far, so good. We have launch date, name and operating system information, but not much else. LG has kept everything under wraps, saying only elusive things on the matter like“V20 will be a new standard for premium phones [with] more enhanced multimedia capabilities”.
Should we expect a sleeker, thinner phone with focus on camera and sound? Probably. We’ll know more in a couple of months. Until then, keep an eye on IFA updates, Europe’s largest consumer electronics trade show.
