After carriers spent most of last year working on deploying 5G networks, this year started with smartphone manufacturers building 5G into their phones. Qualcomm published a list of devices that will feature the new Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. It’s looking like 2020 will be the year of 5G.
Some of the phones on the list we already know about, but some appearances on there haven’t been released yet. All of Samsungs flagship phones and a part of the companies S20 Series will be 5G enabled and be equipped with the new mobile platform.
Devices that haven’t been announced yet include the third generation of Xiaomi’s gaming phone, the Black Shark 3. March 3rd is when Xiaomi will host a launch event for the phone.
Here’s a list of 5G enabled phones set to have the Snapdragon 865 :

- Legion Gaming Phone
- Nubia Red Magic 5G
- OPPO Find X2
- Realme X50 Pro
- Redmi K30 Pro
- ROG Phone 3
- Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra
- Sharp AQUOS R5G
- Sony Xperia 1 II
- Vivo APEX 2020 Concept Phone
- Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro
- ZenFone 7
- ZTE Axon 10s Pro
“After introducing the Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform in December 2019, more than 70 designs have been announced or are in development based on the platform,” said Qualcomm in a press release. “Additionally, more than 1,750 designs have been announced or are in development based on our Snapdragon 8-series mobile platforms.”
