NFTs have undoubtedly been one of the hottest tech trends of 2021, with multiple fashion brands jumping in on the hype. Not one to miss the way the wind blows, Samsung jumped on that bandwagon and unveiled their own NFT project at at CES 2022.
No, they’re not making NFTs but Samsung will have a smart TV NFT platform.
Called the “NFT Aggregation Platform” at the moment, which doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, this is still an impressive project for those who collect NFTs.
Samsung’s smart TV platform gathers NFTs from several marketplaces and lets you preview the art, the artist’s portfolio and things like the blockchain metadata.
Basically, you can browse and buy NFTs straight from your TV. Even more, you can also display your collection to your guests in a way that’s close to what the artist intended.
Thanks to a “Smart Calibration” technology which adjusts the TV settings to match what the original NFT artist had in mind when doing the piece, the image will be displayed on the TV much more faithfully.
The Samsung NFT platform will be available on Samsung’s Neo QLED, MicroLed and The Frame TVs this year.
