Samsung has officially announced its newest tablet: the Galaxy Tab S5e, which promises a ‘rich and immersive entertainment experience, so you can enjoy unputdownable content without compromise‘.
The tablet is their thinnest, for one thing: it has a 5mm metal body and weighs only 400g. The screen, on the other hand, is quite generous, at 10.5-inches with a Super AMOLED display, a 16:10 aspect ratio and 2560×1600 resolution.
The tablet is powered up by a Snapdragon 670 processor and Samsung promises we can get around 14.5 hours of battery life from it, thanks to its 7,040mAh fast charging battery.
“The Tab S5e is a top-tier tablet with a sleek design and powerful features, available at a new price point. For users who want intelligence that keeps them connected so they can get more done—as well as a big, beautiful screen for a rich, premium entertainment experience—the Tab S5e delivers.”
– DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division for Samsung Electronics.
The Tab S5e will be the very first Samsung tablet that will feature the new Bixby 2.0 and it will also allow you to interact with your connected home devices via Quick Command – a feature that enables you to customize a number of actions under just one command.
The Tab S5e offers 64GB of internal storage, which can be upgraded to 512GB via micro SD, and 4GB of RAM that will keep the system going nice and smoothly. Samsung is also preparing an option of 6GB RAM with 128 GB storage, but has not, at the time this article is being written, released a price for it.
The tablet will be available with a price tag of $399.99 for the 4GB/64GB variant and will be launching in the second quarter of 2019 in black, grey or gold color variants.
