Weeks ago, you were paying hundreds of dollars to get a Galaxy Note 7. Today, Samsung is paying YOU to give it back #mobilemagic
If you’re one of the lucky few whose phones haven’t exploded yet but hate the idea of giving back something you initially coveted, Samsung is ready to bribe you. The company offers between $25-$100 to exchange your phone. If you choose another Samsung, you get the top sum; if you opt for a different brand of phone, you get a bit over 20 bucks. If you want a refund, well… don’t be greedy; settle with that money and up to $25.
Either way, it’s a win for you. All you have to do to end this nightmare is return the phone to the store you bought it from or a Samsung office. The whole process is explained here.
By the way, if you decide to mail back the product beware: you’ll have to do it from inside a special box provided by the manufacturer. In the return kit, you’ll find instructions, thermal insulation and gloves. To those of you who’ve seen your phone fire up, that’s no exaggeration.
