According to app researcher Jane Manchun Wong, Twitter experiments with ways of letting its users react to tweets with emoji, an idea the company has been visited before, in 2015 when Facebook was developing the feature.
In the screenshot Wond posted, you can notice the option to reply to a tweet using emoji, like the praying hands, the crying, laughter, shocked faces, as well as the option to “React with Fleet”. The last one is only available in a couple of locations and is basically like a reference to Twitter’s Snapchat Stories-style disappearing tweets.
The company seems to be more responsive to the user’s needs and recently has come up with this solution of scheduling tweets for its web app, by tapping out the text and then reach for the calendar icon below the text at the bottom of the compose window to choose the publishing time.
The company first announced this feature back in November 2019, and recently confirmed the fact that it is launching the feature for good.
We have no idea whether the feature will ever make it and pass the internal test for widespread release, we can only hope.
