After a long wait of nine months, Lime is finally ready to make public its subscription program for its regular users. The new LimePass coms with free bike and scooter unlock for $5 per week.
The subscription is a great way to save some money, as the cost per ride is 1$, and if you rent a Lime’s two-wheelers regularly, in just 2-3 days you’ll reach a subscription cost. It’s very easy to benefit from the new service, by simply launching the Lime app, go to the Menu and then on the LimePass icon.
With the subscription, the company is hoping to develop a brand community and reward customers for choosing Lime in their everyday life.
“The subscription service is designed to meet the needs of a rapidly growing number of micromobility riders, simplifying commutes and rewarding those who depend on electric scooters and bikes for their day-to-day transportation needs,” Lime said in a blog post announcing the new offering.
Also, Lime is offering new subscribers a week of free unlocks, after registering to the service.
In 2020 the company is looking forward to being present in more markets internationally.
“We know that more than 50% of our riders worldwide trust Lime for their commutes and personal daily trips around the city,” said Kevin Shi, product manager at Lime. “With our new LimePass service, we’re proud to offer them a more cost-efficient way to get around town and manage their busy schedules.”
