Line-X is mostly used on truck and car parts but once the military found about it, they asked for it in bulk. After 9/11, the Pentagon was renovated and Line-X was applied to the walls to protect them from terrorist bomb blasts. The danger resided in the fact that, if fragments flew towards people at high speeds, they could seriously injure them. So, Line-X was needed to contain those bits.
