Ubisoft Announces Multiplayer Shooter Tom Clancy’s XDefiant

Ubisoft dropped a trailer for a new Tom Clancy’s game called Tom Clancy’s XDefiant, but it’s a new take on the franchise.

Tom Clancy’s XDefiant is a free-to-play multiplayer shooter. It seems similar to a lot of class-based shooters out there, but with a Tom Clancy’s spin.

For example, instead of classes, there will be different factions. These factions are wolves (tank), cleaners (assault), echelon (support), outcasts (healer), each inspired by maverick groups in the Tom Clancy games and beyond. Like class-based shooters, every faction comes with unique traits, abilities, and ultra.

Players will also have the ability to personalize their character to some extent, changing weapon loadouts and attachments on respawn.
