After months of waiting, UK citizen can now finally buy the latest Xiaomi products without jumping through any hoops, whether they choose Xiaomi’s official online store or retailers like Amazon or Argos.
The company promised back in May to bring their flagships to the UK and now it announced on Twitter the launch of the Mi 8 Pro in the region, where it will retail for £499.
For that price, UK consumers will get a flagship with a gorgeous, “Transparent Titanium” back that shows off quite a lot of the hardware underneath. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro combines the powerful Snapdragon 845 chipset with the Adreno 630 GPU, 6 to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory.
The Mi 8 Pro uses the same camera setup as the regular Mi 8, bringing a dual 12 MP rear setup capable of filming at 2160p in 60fps and a 20 MP f/2.0 aperture selfie shooter.
With the revolutionary Infrared Face Lock and an in-display fingerprint scanner, the Mi 8 Pro will definitely appeal to those UK shoppers wanting a more affordable alternative to iPhone X and newer Apple models.
Of course, they will have to get used to the MIUI 1.0 interface laid on top of the Android 8.1 OS.
