At Xiaomi‘s press event, all eyes were definitely on the Mi 8, the best iPhone X contender we’ve seen so far. However, the company also revealed some exciting news about the Mi Band that just can’t be overlooked.
The newly-revealed Mi Band 3 is the best budget option for basic fitness tracking and pulse monitoring. Available soon for around $25, it offers an amazing 20-day battery life per charge along with water resistance up to 5 ATM (50 meters in depth). Additionally, the OLED display is now slightly bigger than the one on the Mi Band 2.
The fitness tracking watch does sync with the Xiaomi Mi Fit App and features NFC, so in theory, could offer contactless payments. However, it doesn’t include GPS and compatibility with other apps like Strava.
Xiaomi hasn’t yet set a launch date for this wearable but it’s safe to say you could see it in stores this summer.
