Xiaomi is all ready for launching its 12.5 inch Mi Notebook Air – the company took to Weibo to unveil a teaser poster that announces the device for March 26th.
The notebook will weigh 1.07kg according to the information we can spot on the poster, which would make it even lighter than the MacBook Air, whose direct rival it is.
The Mi NoteBook can be purchased in different sizes in China: the 2018 variant measures 15.6 inches but there is a 13.3 inch available as well and they all include Intel i3, i5 and i7 chipsets.
While we don’t know much about the upcoming Mi Notebook Air, it’s expected that the device will have an 8th generation Intel Core processor and upgraded RAM. The Xiaomi Mi Laptop Air 13.3 did not feature an SD card reader so hopefully its successor will.
Design-wise, we’re not expecting it to change much, if at all. The current version features a metal finish with a metal enclosure and sharp edges and we don’t see any reason why Xiaomi would choose to change it.
But we’re only a day away from the official unveiling so we’ll have to be a bit more patient and wait for Xiaomi to tell us what we need to know about the specs.
