Xiaomi has released a series of posters on Weibo that showcase the front and back of the upcoming Play smartphone which we now know sports waterdrop notch, dual camera and fingerprint scanner on the rear.
The device is similar to the one Xiaomi recently posted on TENAA, which was generally believed to be the Redmi 7, until now. If we’re to go by the specs in that particular listing, we could say that the Xiaomi Play might come with a 5.84 inch 2280 x 1080px Full HD+ curved glass display and a 2.3GHz Octa-Core processor.
It would run Android 8.1 Oreo with 3GB, 4GB and 6GB RAM options alongside 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internal storage variants as well as host an additional microSD card slot.
The device would have a 12MP rear camera, an 8MP selfie snapper and a 3,000mAh battery.
The handset is expected in three color variants as well: Black, Dream Blue and Dawn Gold.
If we’re right or wrong about the TENAA listing, we’ll find out come December 24th, when the smartphone will be officially unveiled.
