This toothbrush might look a bit wonky but what it promises will definitely make you smile: just 10 seconds for a complete dental hygiene routine.
It’s made out of nylon bristles fitted at a 45 degree angle in a silicone tray that vibrates at one of three speeds. Just pop it in your mouth, wait 10 seconds and enjoy the squeaky clean sensation!
What about your dentist’s insistence of spending a couple of minutes brushing your teeth?
The Y-Brush provides some nice numbers for the next time your dentist tries to shame you:
“The human mouth is composed of 32 teeth with 3 visible facets, this means that 96 facets need to brushed every time we brush our teeth.
If dentists recommend that we brush our teeth during 2 minutes, that means that each of those 96 facets need to be brushed for 1.25 seconds. Since Y-Brush brushes all of your teeth simultaneously, then the whole tooth brushing process only takes 10 seconds, 5 seconds for your top teeth and 5 seconds for your bottom teeth: 4 times more effective to thoroughly and effectively brush your teeth,” explains the Kickstarter page.
If the Y-Brush toothbrush could also handle flossing, something tells us its booth at CES 2019 would see an insane amount of traffic. As it is, it’s still one of the best consumer electronics on display there.
A Y-Brush will set you back $125, a price that also includes a charging station, a storage pod and an applicator for the toothpaste. It’s already up for preorder here and expected to start shipping on April 2019.Also read: ✍No More Dust In Your Face: New Roomba Model Empties Itself✍
