Anticipation surrounding Samsung Galaxy S8 peaked in recent months, giving leakers a good reason to follow the scent and uncover the final design. Now, images have turned up online showing the handset in all its glory #mobilemagic
The latest leaked images fall in line with what we’ve heard already about the device. As you can see, Samsung ditched the physical button from the bottom front and with it, the fingerprint sensor. We can only assume this has been moved to the back of the device as in renders previously released by @EvLeaks.
The display area of the Samsung Galaxy S8 has been increased significantly, the device featuring now slim bezels and retaining the curved screen that was such a huge success since Galaxy S6. The images also show the presence of a USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack at the bottom, near the speaker. At least Samsung has kept the headphone jack everyone mourned during the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus reveal.
All things considered, this is a very good-looking device. Samsung Galaxy S8 follows in the steps of Mi Mix, coming with a generous display size, while it keeps the curved screen design and the headphone jack.
We can also await this Android phone eagerly for its spec sheet. As you know, it’s the first phone to come with a Snapdragon 835 SoC and the first device from Samsung to feature an AI assistant. This “guy” is going to scan objects and text, control native apps and help you make payments with Samsung Pay. Galaxy S8′ screen could be a 5.8-incher and the phone should be water-resistant.
At Mobile World Congress, this month, we’ll find out more about the launch date as well as the features. The company is set to show a teaser of the product in Barcelona. As for the official reveal… we believe this is going to happen in the middle of March.
