The latest home security camera from Arlo boosts its video capabilities with the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight camera.
With 2K in full color with HDR support, a black and white night mode and a spotlight option, you’ll see who’s on your porch crystal-clear.
Of course, it works with smart assistants and supports IFTTT automatization.
“Thanks to a dedicated ambient light sensor, the floodlight camera can automatically measure the amount of surrounding light to allow for true customization for when the floodlight automatically turns on upon motion or audio detection.
To do so, users can configure the ambient light sensor’s sensitivity threshold to surrounding light within the Arlo app.
This level of customization will in turn help users further preserve the product’s battery life as well. The floodlight camera also offers two different light patterns – constant and pulsating – which users can control manually on-demand or via automation rules,” explained Arlo in the announcement.
The Arlo Pro 3 floodlight camera also sports two-way audio, a siren and up to six months of battery life (chargeable with a magnetic cable) but all of these features won’t come cheap.
The Arlo Pro 3 two-camera kit comes with a base station to connect to your WiFi and retails for $499. The Arlo 3 Pro Floodlight camera is another $249.99.
You’ll also have to budget at least $2,99 per camera each month for monthly storage or invest in USB local storage, the costs can add up fast.
However, the Arlo Pro 3 cameras come with a 3-month Arlo Smart trial with cloud storage personalized notifications, so the initial setup cost won’t be so high.
