OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro is getting a beta build of Android 11, the very first Android 11 beta as part of the developer preview program. With this, the manufacturer becomes the first phone manufacturers to publish an Android 11 version.
Here’s what you need to know about the beta build. Any OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro owners can install the Android 11-based build as we speak, but only software developers who need access to Android 11 are advised to do so.
Why is that? Because by installing Android 11 beta on the OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro right now puts your device at risk as there is a big chance of bricking your phone.
Along with the system stability issues, be prepared for issues such as face unlock being unavailable, Google Assistant malfunctions, poor quality video calling, as the company notes.
