Xiaomi’s latest concept phone has just been announced and a company representative said that the device does actually exist and is functional. Of course, the impact of the renders can’t match the experience of actually showing off the phone.
The phone has deep 88-degree “waterfall” curves on the left and right sides, and integrates a “quad-curved waterfall display,” resulting from “countless breakthroughs in glass bending and laminating technology and a sum of 46 groundbreaking patents.”

The concept phone comes right after the company announced its Mi Air Charge truly wireless charging system, the start of “a true wireless charging era”, in which devices charge purely through the air.
The Mi Air Charge uses a charging station fitted with a phase control array made of 144 antennas. On the phone side, the future Xiaomi phones will have a miniature antenna array picking up those millimeter waves from the charging station and converting them into electrical energy.
Furthermore, the company will announce the global availability for its Mi 11 flagship phone on Monday, February 8th.
