The first images of DeLorean’s upcoming EV called the Alpha5 were just revealed. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro’s ItalDesign studio, Alpha5’s looks are based on the “Medusa” concept that the original DeLorean company had been working on back in 1982.
The vehicle has two doors, instead of four – how it was initially expected and From a top-front angle and kind of resembles Tesla’s Roadster in terms of the lines on the hood. The wedge-like supercar styling stands out with a pair of massive doors and four seats.
DeLorean Motor Company EV first teased a month ago, and it was supposed to arrive on August 18th. The vehicle won’t be produced by DeLorean but rather by a Texas company that bought the rights to its name.
The EV is designed to reach a top speed of 155 MPH, going from 0 to 60 MPH in 2.99 seconds and integrates a 100kWh battery pack for excellent range and a dual-motor.
The full reveal will be available live on the DeLorean Motor Company website.
