The Dasung Link E is definitely the best gadget we’ve seen in 2022, even better than that floor mopping robot we raved about earlier.
This new invention can basically turn any phone into an e-reader and it’s the most innovative thing to come out in the E-Ink industry in a very long time.
The Dasung Link E is a secondary screen that goes on top of a regular phone’s screen, even an iPhone, and makes everything look like an e-book reader.
You’d expect such an interface to be very laggy but so far the Dasung Link E looks more than usable. It could be a great tool for those looking to spend less time on their phone or for those who want to cut down on the harmful bright light emitted by the phone.
The 6.7-inch E-ink display has a 300ppi density, the same as a Kindle. The case is made out of an aluminum alloy and is about 8mm wide – a bit bulky, just like a traditional ebook reader.
It could be a great tool for those looking to spend less time on their phone or for those who want to cut down on the harmful bright light emitted by the phone, as the Dasung Link does not emit light of any kind.
The Dasung Link is available in two options, a wired connection one and a wireless one, and costs around $260. The only problem? Right now, it’s only available for sale in China.
Hopefully, this first model, a world’s first at that, will be successful there and subsequent releases will be made available everywhere.
