HMD Global has let loose one more smartphone from his 2017 series. Nokia 7 might come across as a mid-ranger thanks to the budget-friendly price but if you look up close, the features sported are so flagship-worthy #mobilemagic
Nokia 8 hit the market with the usual specs you’d expect from a 2017 flagship: dual camera, latest processor and a camera software gimmick (in this case, bothie mode). We thought we could only expect the same and more from its bigger brother, Nokia 9, but it turns out there’s another Nokia handset that’s equally impressive for about half the price.
HMD Global’s Nokia 7 is also capable of recording with the front and rear camera simultaneously, in what the company has dubbed as dual sight mode. Yep, you get the same functionality introduced earlier this year on Nokia 8. Moreover, the manufacturer is releasing an option with 6GB RAM, which is more than you can say about the Nokia 8.
Surprised? We were, too. Especially since the rest of the configuration is not bad at all – on the 5.2-inch smartphone, you’ve got a Snapdragon 630 chip, a 3,000 mAh battery and a camera combo of a 5MP wide-angle selfie shooter with a 16MP rear cam, f/1.8 aperture and dual tone flash. Oh, and more good news: you’re going to get the 3.5mm headphone jack so you won’t need to spend extra money on a separate dongle or wireless earbuds.
Before you go berserk trying to buy one, you have to know that Nokia 7 will sell exclusively in China for the time being. Starting with October 24, the device sporting 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage will hit the market at ¥2,499 (around US$377), while the 6GB of RAM model will cost ¥200 more (around US$407).
