After breaking the mold with artificial intelligence stabilization and notch masks, Huawei P20 and P20 Pro went on to break records.
The two flagship phones from Chinese telecommunications company Huawei had an amazing launch, generating more than 100 million RMB in Huawei’s Vmall within the first 10 seconds after going online. That’s more than $15 million in sales! This record sales clearly shows the massive interest and excitement surrounding the P20 and P20 Pro.
Of course, these phones deserve the merit. The P20 Pro is a flashy, “twilight” smartphone that has not two, but three cameras on the back, and a 24MP front shooter. This is coupled with impressive hardware and software, starting with AI for video stabilization (that removes a need for a tripod) to an object recognition algorithm that can identify different types of meals.
The standard Huawei P20 costs $855, while the upgraded Huawei P20 Pro jumps to more than $1,100.
These two, alongside Huawei P20 Lite, are already available almost everywhere in the world except the US. Unfortunately, AT&T and Verizon dropped Huawei from their list of offerings after pressure from the US government based on security issues.
