Yamaha is once again taking the lead in the A/V (audio/visual) receivers market. The company just announced the new Aventage RX-A 80 series that comes with Surround:AI.
As the name hints, this new feature uses artificial intelligence in order to give the best audio experiences for home theaters. It adjusts audio levels on a per-scene basis, ensuring that movie sequences packed with action are in perfect balance with quieter, dialogue-filled ones. However, Surround:AI is only available in 3 of the receivers.
All of them, thought, come with MusicCast Surround, allowing you to quickly set up a 5.1-channel surround system with wireless speakers. The entire Aventage RX-A 80 series also supports DTS:X object-based surround sound, as well as Dolby Atmos, for even better immersion.
These receivers also have WiFi, Bluetooth, and Airplay connectivity and work well with Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Pandora, Napster, and Siriux XM.
All of the Surround:AI models will begin shipping in July, with prices ranging from $1,300 for the cheapest model to $2,200 for the 9.2 channel RX-A3080.
