Apple products are notoriously hard to repair and they need to be taken to your nearest retail store to get them fixed but, for a few hours today, a YouTube account leaked no less than eleven internal training videos that depict how repairs are made on the iPhone X, iMac Pro and the MacBook Pro.
Apple has never been keen on users fixing the devices on their own, going as far as making devices that require special tools in order to be opened. The videos clearly depict repair tools that are exclusively used by Apple, and they also show the company’s copyright so they are most certainly the real thing.
What is actually interesting is that the videos depict what third-party vendors have managed to do by themselves without the help of any instructions, reverse-engineering the devices for the past years.
The Twitter user who has originally leaked the videos on YouTube, Arman Haji, has since been suspended from Twitter and the videos have also disappeared from the YouTube channel but rest assured others replaced them quickly:
