Razer has just sent out the invitations for the Razer Phone 2 event, set to take place on October 10th.
The current Razer phone is the first smartphone that was designed specifically for gaming, sporting unique features such as the 120Hz display which were generally received with rave reviews. Obviously, everyone is expecting the second generation to bring more to the table than its predecessor.
Aesthetically speaking, thanks to a render leaked to Android Headlines, the differences seem to be minimal.
Side by side, the phones look almost identical, save for the fact that the new model sports thicker frames. An interesting choice, considering the current smartphone industry is trying to reduce them as much as possible.
We expect to see the phone come with the Snapdragon 845 chip and 512 GB of memory, and we can only speculate it will have Android 9 Pie out of the box.
The Razer Phone 2 will come a day after the Google Pixel event and 6 days before the official debut of the Huawei Mate 20 and 20 Pro so October is looking increasingly busier for the smartphone manufacturers out there and we can’t wait to see what’s in store.
