Nokia has set an event that will take place on October 4 already, but they have not even hinted at much about it except that it will serve as a way to ‘welcome the latest addition to the Nokia smartphone family’.
Rumor is that two models will be launched during the event – the Nokia 9 and the Nokia 7.1 Plus. Our best bet is on the Nokia 7.1 Plus, mostly because some information about the device was leaked after images and specs were spotted on Chinese website TENAA.
The device described in the listing goes under the name of TA-1131 and the first thing you can notice when looking at the images is the large camera on the back, located right above the fingerprint sensor, with the flash placed outside the housing.
The phone seems to have a 6.18 inch Full HD+ display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels.
According to the specs sheet, it will have an octa-core Snapdragon 710 SoC under the hood that clocks in at 2.2GHz. It’s expected it will come in two storage variants: 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB with expandable storage available via microSD card.
On the list of features we can also find the fingerprint scanner, a headphone jack as well as the fact that it seems like it will run on Android 8.1.
As far as the camera goes, which is its most visible feature, the rear one might prove to have a 13MP primary sensor and a 12MP secondary one. The front would be 20MP.
According to the website, the device will come in red, silver and blue color variants.
If the leak is real or not, well, we don’t have that long of a wait ahead of us to find out and we promise we’ll keep you posted.
