It’s not secret that retro gaming has made a comeback – the nostalgia has hit us all quite hard in 2018 and, as far as I’m concerned, we can stay in the retro bubble for a while longer.
Another gadget that might help us maintain the retro status quo is the RetroMini: a tiny, handheld console that comes pre-loaded with no less than 900 games from Gameboy Advance, Gameboy and NES ROMS.
The console can literally fit in your pocket, as it measures 2.75 x 4.13 x 0.87 inches and it weighs only 3.6oz (103g).
It has support for 26 languages, a 3.5mm audio slot and is compatible with microSD cards of up to 32GB. It has a run time of approximately 5 hours.
The gaming roster would be too long to list here but among them we can count Donkey Kong, Zelda, Sonic, Pac-Man, Gundam, Castlevania and Tetris. And then a few hundred more. Even if you play one new game every day, it would still take you over 2 years to go through them all.
I mean, for such a tiny thing, what more could you ask for?
The mini console is available from the RetroMini official website as well as other official retailers and, at the time this article is being written, the device is currently on back order with expected ship dates to start again this month.
