WhatsApp unveiled the sticker feature across their platform just a month ago and it’s already getting an upgrade: if you’re on Android, you’ll now be able to create your very own stickers directly from your phone.
How? By using Sticker Studio. The app is free and it was built by Sven van der Zee, who used to work as a development intern for TNW Index. Using it is a piece of cake: all you have to do is snap photos or import images and draw an outline of sorts around the portion you want to use for a sticker.
The only problem is that you’ll have to create a minimum of three stickers before you’ll be able to export them to WhatsApp and you’ll only be able to have 10 sticker packs consisting of 30 stickers per pack. But honestly, if you’re able to create that many relevant stickers and still need more than that, we salute you.
At the moment, the app does not allow you to resize the images and does not benefit from any effects but those features will come in time, don’t worry.
If you’re interested, you can grab the app for free from Google Play.
