Most smartphone manufacturers are struggling to bring 5G phones to the market but it looks like OnePlus is not one of them.
According to a report from XDA Developers, OnePlus has decided to demo a 5G gaming smartphone prototype during MWC this year. The handset will have a Snapdragon 855 SoC under the hood and a X50 modem.
MWC attendees will have the opportunity to take the phone for a spin if they stop at the company’s booth, which means that the phone is more close to launch than we expected.
We don’t know much else about this mysterious device for now – there’s not even a word about design or RAM/storage capacity but it’s rumored to cost $200 to $300 more than the latest phone launched.
We’ll find out soon what the phone is all about as MWC is set to kick off on February 25th and we’ll be there to report from the hottest booths.
