Tesla had a slew of good news for those looking for a new electric car.
First, the company announced that the more affordable, $35,000 Standard Range Model 3 is available for order on the official website.
For that price tag, drivers will be getting an electric vehicle with a 220-mile range, capable of reaching 130 mph and going from zero to 60 in 5.6 seconds.
To accomodate for the lower price tag, Tesla removed the fog lamps and smartphone docking ports.
The interior has been redone as well, coming with a manual steering wheel adjustment and cloth seats, while the outside is limited to just a black option.
For other color schemes, the cheapest option is $1500 extra for silver or blue paint, with prices going to $2500 more for the red option.
Those on the market for high-end vehicles also got some good news from Tesla.
The company slashed the prices for both the Tesla Model S and Model X and their performance versions.
The base models go for $83,000 and $88,000, while the Model S Performance is now $99,000 (down from $112,000) and the Model X Performance is now $104,000, a $13,000 price reduction. Furthermore, the Ludicrous mode, which boosts acceleration by 20%, was reduced in price from $20,000 to $15,000.
