You might remember that Puma announced its self-lacing Puma Fi shoes earlier this year and that the company also teased that they will be releasing a beta program for the people who want to try them out. Well, now’s your change to give it a shot.
As of now up to April 28th, you can apply for the Puma Fi beta testing program either via the PUMATRAC app or on the company’s website, via an online form.
The only thing you need to keep in mind is that, in order to enter, you have to be residing in any of the following regions: US, UK, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Spain, India or Turkey.
The form will, of course, ask for your shoe size, what smartphone model you use, what are your thoughts on the Fi adaptive technology and in what other areas you think it would prove useful, and you will also be asked about your active interests.
The Puma Fi will cost $300 upon release and they rely on a motor placed at the top side of the shoes to tighten the strings, which can be fine-tuned via the companion app.
If you ever wanted to try self-lacing shoes and are not willing to spend $300 for a pair, you should give it a shot and fill in the online form, who knows?
